ESG provided the structural engineering design for Masfout Hospital. It is a modern two-storey hospital built to serve its surrounding community. The brief called for safe, efficient structures across clinical and support areas. The design balanced patient-care needs with buildable, economical framing.

Project Overview

The hospital covers about 7,510 square metres across two storeys. It houses inpatient and outpatient clinics, laboratories, and an x-ray section. Operating rooms and an intensive care unit sit within the same frame. The first floor holds wards for thirty beds. ESG sized every structural element around these clinical layouts.

Structural Approach

The frame was tuned for clear spans and flexible clinical space. Column grids kept wards and theatres free of obstruction. Heavy imaging and ICU equipment drove local load cases. The team detailed slabs to control deflection and vibration. This kept sensitive medical equipment stable in use.

Durability and Standards

The design follows recognised international structural codes. Durable concrete detailing was specified for a long service life. Robust framing supports future fit-out changes without major works. The result is a resilient hospital built around its clinical mission.
