Doha Pump Station

Doha Water Pump Main Building - Infrastructure Project

Client sector: Water Infrastructure  |  Location: Kuwait  |  Asset: Water Distribution Complex (D10)

ESG supported the development and expansion of an existing water distribution complex in Kuwait. The project upgrades the Doha Water Distribution Complex, known as D10. It also delivers associated main pipelines. The aim was to raise capacity and reliability for a growing network. Demand on the network had outgrown the original capacity. A staged upgrade kept the existing system in service throughout.

Project Scope

The core work is a new pumping station at the D10 complex. The pumping station moves treated water into the wider distribution network. It is sized to meet current and future demand. The design also improves resilience during peak loads and outages.

Associated Engineering Works

A pumping station is more than pumps. The project includes electrical and low-voltage systems. It also covers instrumentation and SCADA control. Mechanical works include HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting. Each system was coordinated to work as one reliable facility.

Distribution Main

The scope adds a new trunk distribution main pipeline. The pipeline runs from the D10 complex to the A1 distribution point. A new trunk main improves flow and reduces network bottlenecks. Route and hydraulic design were planned for long-term operation.

Reliability and Resilience

Water supply assets must run with very little downtime. The design builds in redundancy for key equipment. Controls and SCADA give operators clear visibility. This supports fast response during peak demand. Resilient design protects continuity of supply.

Scope of Work

  • New pumping station at the D10 water distribution complex.
  • Electrical, low-voltage, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.
  • HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting works.
  • New trunk distribution main from D10 to the A1 point.
  • Coordination of all disciplines into one reliable facility.

This project strengthens a critical part of the regional water network. Integrated engineering kept the systems working as one. ESG continues to support water infrastructure with reliable, coordinated design.
